What do I need! Iphone & D3 |
|
Sorry for asking the question again guys but there is hundreds of posts on the topic and I havnt got time to read through them all
I take delivery of my nice shiney new Iphone 3GS next week and I am looking to connect it so the music aspect can be controlled through the steering wheel. From reading I gather that there is a few tech issues getting the phone to pair with the factory bluetooth but I can live with inputting the code a few times.
Is the ACM Module still available through LR or is there still a supply issue. Any help would be much appriciated

See if you can locate the ipod kit part number VPLAE0001, if you have your 3GS on version 3 software i think the bluetooth will be fine.
The issue is that newer than version 3 has a different bluetooth protocall so the phone book on the screen and answering the calls are in some cases funny on the newer cars.
I had the same problem on my D4 but a software downgrade on the phone to version 3 cured it.
Im not 100% on the D3 all though my phone works perfect on my wifes D3 no problems so you may not have any you will have to try it and see.

Well I now have the TomTom car kit and it works a treat as a dock for the iPhone AND it has an audio out jack which plugs straight into the aux input in the central armrest.
