I got a very good quote from your Basingstoke office this afternoon.
It was even cheaper than my renewal from Admiral (even after they had knocked £75 off).
Must check re off-road cover though.

A-plan came up with eaxctly same policy price etc for wifes quote but £60 quid out on my Landrover policy.

Very helpful lady, but the quotes were miles (and miles) more expensive than Direct Line or Admiral. Very friendly, if ultimately fruitless, sadly.PAGODA

Policy for my D4 taken out yesterday via the Basingstoke office for £346, which was even better than the £397 I was initially quoted.

I know sorry, but I do use the Basingstoke office for home insurance already and previously used them for a motor policy as well.

Received my policy documents from A-Plan (Basingstoke) only to find my car was uninsured for twelve and a half hours, so not best pleased. Thankfully nothing happened during that time.Andy

Why is it only certain A-plan offices can give certain quotes?
And why did a different company call me back when I made an enquiry through the A plan website?
Seems a strange way to run a business, so I'll look elsewhere.

Good Morning.
We have 71 offices and although we are all the same company we all look for our own areas to specialise in. Each branch can offer all motor and home insurance, but for example in Bletchley, I had an interest to be more competitive in the disco market as I have an interest in these cars. I then can go to the underwriters, explain where i am going to get the leads from, explain about the modifications that we might see, explain why enthusiasts will be good "risks" rather than just a disco being used for a run of the mill car with no club or following behind it. I then give them examples of the leads I can give them, show them what the market prices and and what we would need to be competive in policy cover and price. Some of our offices just look at "standard" business where I enjoy the club and enthusiats market which Is why my office can offer different products and rates.
Our group web site is going though a massive development stage at the moment, and it's possible that Motor Direct - still A-Plan but more of a call centre operation tried to call you back as my office may have been closed.
