Found this on the bay and was wondering if anyone had tried it. It does look like a D4 one and will fit into the little slot thats there.

Hids4u is out of cameras at the moment as well. Spoke to them last week. New ones due in around four weeks I am told! 8)

Don't believe the  about just plugging it into the back of the monitor either if you are running the factory fitted screen...

Yep it is expensive, but compared to the genuine LR camera its really cheap, i know the pic quality won't be the same but i like where its located, there is loads of cameras that replace the light which is not what i want to do.  2015 D4 HSE LUX Kaikoura Stone(sold)

As far as I know the original screen needs a NTSC camera and most signals are too weak to get a good picture in oem screen not via Gvif unit
I can't imagine we are 4 weeks away from stock. Sent N e

Tufty, if you open the top tailgate, to the right of the right number plate light you will see a square blanking plate, this is the location of the camera in a D4, I'm not sure but if your tailgate handle has never been changed you might not have the square blanking plate, its when you change the handle you get one thats from the D4 now.
I think the description reads wrong, if you look at an original camera it looks exactly the same in the picture, but i suppose they might send the number plate light unit, but surly they are selling a false product then unless photos don't matter and its the description of the item that matters. 2015 D4 HSE LUX Kaikoura Stone(sold)

And don't forget just a camera on a D3 will not work, it needs a GVIF unit to work when reverse is selected.

I have fitted one of these to my D3, quite straight forward, taken the camera positive off the rear near side reversing light positive then just ran the supplied audio cable to the front, it is just not long enough but when you connect the fakra cable to it it is long enough to plug into the back of the nav screen. I then just use the secret screen to show the picture. The quality is excellent only issue is when you jet wash the car it must not be sealed correctly as you get water specs on the screen but. It does clear after a day,
The screen is either pal or NTSC and you have the option of wide screen on it too, it also has marking bars on the screen so you can judge distances.

Same as the one in the linc that I commented on number plate light bought it off the same seller too, they usually go for £20 ish, he has sold lots of them Goodyear Duratracs
