Hannibal Roof Rack

I am currently looking at the possibility of purchasing a Hannibal Roof Rack for the D3. I have been informed that these racks can only be fitted to genuine Landrover roof rails.
Can anyone provide information as to the accuracy of this statement as the 'genuine roof rails' in Oz are extremely expensive? Quoted $640 AUD.
Hopefully someone may have purchased the roof rack and fitted it with Rhino or other available roof rails.

Try this: http://www.oppositelock.com.au/redesign/de...MRLDIS3-16

but maybe like the Hannibal but they may be able to answer the question.

I don't see why it couldn't be adapted to fit the Rhino rails. I have them and they are the way to go. Position is similar but fitment may be different.

I don't know what you mean by genuine land rover roof rails, but here is the typical Hannibal mounting method:

I found this contraption to be very fussy and awkward, so I replaced it with a Thule load carrying system like this:

I think that you could make some sort of base clamp to bolt into the factory hard points that are under the rubber rain gutter channel.

By the looks of that you could definately fit them to the Rhino ones the rails are under #200 fitted I think.
system is similar. You may need to ask them for some hex nuts that fit in the rail, if the Hanibal bots don't fit you could get some from an engineeers supplies.
