Bluetooth module
Hi my sister's discovery has standard hands free, but she's not that impressed with. The car is a 07 or 08 plate. If I use our IID tool to update it will it be equivalent to D4 hands free? Failing that any ideas of cost to upgrade to D4 module?

Wont you have to buy another license to work on a second D3 i believe and the D4 modual are around £300-359 Discovery 3 se gone

No ot will never be equal to a D4 unless you buy a D4 module, Wiggs is your man, no doubt he will be along soon It can when others can't,

Hi Geoff, my IID is already licensed to my sis's car cost about £60 IIRC, it will take a few vin numbers, not sure how many TBH. M3DPO I shall await Wiggs contact. Thanks both

If it wasn't licenced to your sisters car, could you swap the bluetooth units between D3s and update hers whilst it's fitted to your car?

My car has a parrot fitted so not between our cars, you could probably do it with another car of similar spec. The tool is licensed to her car and I'm up the farm for a day Tuesday so will probably try the tool then and see if it makes a difference

I swapped to the D4 module, like quite a few have here I think, definite to the quality of it over the D3 one.
Bas Remap, EGR's Blanked, Emulators, Alisport Decat pipe, BAS FBHIC with add on GSM module (roundabout way for timed climate).

You won't get the features or sound quality of the d4 module unless you swap it for one .. Software update won't do it in afraid
Also if she has an 08 plate .. You'll already have the later software on the Bluetooth module
Check if she can see contacts displayed on the radio
I can PX a d4 module for your old D3 one if your interestedG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
