D3 vs D4 audio module differences?

Hey all. The aux-in connector just behind the cubby in my D3 no longer works - and looks to be a pain to take apart and refit - so I brought a second-hand one off fleabay. All was good until I received the wrong part and the one I was supposed to receive was accidentally sent elsewhere. Now the recipient of MY unit won't return it to the seller and is causing problems for the seller (I feel sorry for him; he's been really apologetic and helpful to me). Anway - backstory over - I still need a replacement aux-in unit.

The one I have is the unit 903916000016 (or XVO500020).
I see there's a JLR version which looks different, with code CH2219C166DA

Would anyone have any idea if the modules are interchangeable? They look the same from the front, but have a different connector in the rear. And there's conflicting images on t'web. If I could prise the Aux connector off without breaking anything I'll do that. Oh - hang on, it's already broken. I have nothing to lose Razz

If it were me, I would just connect a 3.5mm cable to the headunit.
May even get better quality audio. Ensure rear unplugged.

Ok if your kids use the rear then it’s not a good idea.

And maybe your eBay item will eventually arrive

Thanks Pete, I may have to do that, though I need to find the time to get to the rear of the stereo. I've seen a couple of threads on here already on how to do this - I'm sure if I search I can find it again!
