Drivers Seat Motoring
I have a 2016 Landmark and each time I turn the ignition off, the drivers seat motors to a neutral position. When I get back in the car and turn the ignition back on, the seat motors back to my selected position. Can anyone confirm if this correct as surely this would put un-necessary wear and tear on the electric motors? I would have thought a better idea would have been for it to remain in the selected position until another preset is selected. I have searched the forum and handbook and can't see any mention if this is as designed or if I have an issue.
Many thanks for any replies.

Mine has recently started doing this too. It didn't used to and had now started and I'm not sure why. Possibly as i have started using the seat presets more.
I would happily turn it off if i could.

Mine does the same, but you can stop it my turning the steering wheel adjustment knob away from the auto position - it does as you describe in auto and doesn't auto move in manual or whatever the position is called

It's called Easy Entry/Exit and can be turned on/off through the vehicle set up menu. Press the Menu button on the steering wheel, select vehicle set up, scroll down to easy entry/exit and turn off.

There's an option to turn it off or on in the settings menu accessed by the steering wheel buttons. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price! - So good I bought another!

I have no settings menu entry for Easy Entry/Exit but moving the steering wheel adjustment knob away from auto does seem to have stopped it so thanks Peakwayfarer

No settings menu for me, but the steering wheel adjustment knob method above works.
Thanks
