Evening guys
Mrs currently sat on M42 between j10 and A42
Waiting for the yellow taxi home
Car was like power on and off chugging then cut out
I’m pretty sure it’s ran out of fuel as the gauge has been playing up and did tell her not run it low until I can fix it but as usual ,female knows best an thought it would be ok,
She says “engine system fault” is on dash
Could it be something else or is it as I think that due to the gauge saying she still has fuel that the engine thinks it’s something else
She has tipped a small can of fuel in that was in the boot but the battery has lost its edge due to the fact she thought it good to sit with hazards and headlights on while she waited
Cheers

Update
She’s now on donnington services with first recovery who’s dropping it off to wait for onward one
And the fkn guy can’t release the handbrake, had to talk him through where release cable is and now he’s saying it won’t release, have told him he’s got to pull it till he thinks it’ll snap
He hasn’t even got any jump cables to get power to batt so it can release normally
Ffs supposed to be professional recovery firm according to Mrs he didn’t take panel off under bumper for tow hook
Dread to think where he attached winch 05 TDV6,"S" in all colourcoded Zermatt silver,7 seats winter pack HK 6cd stereo,Dual climate,Xenons,

She just got back
Drove it back, the aa guy said it was a relay ? But I’m thinking that once he boosted it it pulled the fuel through,
Swmbo is fine but knackered
First broke down at 5 pm and just walked in the door at 11.15 05 TDV6,"S" in all colourcoded Zermatt silver,7 seats winter pack HK 6cd stereo,Dual climate,Xenons,

I take it that the Park Brake is now inoperative if he pulled the emergency release?

If that was my wife and I knew the car had a problem and she took it the air would be blue!
I find with women you have to try and double think them and even then thats not always enough
All my cars have a gallon of derv in the boot, why i dont know as its rare they get low, old habits I guess.
