Are surround cameras worth it |
|
After messing around for ages and getting fed up trying to fit these finally got the rear working temporary
But now I’m thinking are they really worth the hassle Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

No and yes!
Mine were useless as surround cameras. The fronts were supposed to help you out of blind junctions, but they were both basically pointing forward, the sides weren’t much better. The only decent camera with a use is the rear, for reversing and hitching a trailer.
Don’t waste your time or money is my advice.

I already have a fixed reversing camera and that’s great for hitching the caravan Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

Well my HSE Luxury has them as standard, and only the reverse cam works now. Can’t be arsed fixing the rest, just not worth the hassle. They failed just out of warranty.

Plus on MY14 onwards there are and LRCS proved worthless and useless in trying to get it resolved. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

They are not great. However if you are going to try to fit them and can put the front cameras in a better position they may well be more user friendly MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
