Rear air bags.

Hi.

I pulled into a car park and dropped the height to get the dogs out, I then lifted it back to normal ride height as I pulled away but 100yds down the road I got a suspension error with the Amber arrows over the truck symbol.
I got a “normal ride height only” notification on the dash so carried on thinking it might be a temporary issue. Next morning same again but on the way home it dropped onto the bump stops, front remained OK.
Code reader didn’t throw anything up so jacked the rear up and found a burst bag.
The question I have is can the low pressure in the bag that was on its way out cause the dash errors or do I have a problem that caused the back to drop and the bag was collateral damage.
Basically is there a low pressure sensor?

Update:jacked it up removed wheels and it looks like it’s the gaiter that’s goosed not the actual air bag.

Thanks for any input.

Keith

Just cut the gaiter/dust cover off. Had it happen on mine and removed it. Does not seem to be a problem. Embarassed
