Low 3tn Jack recommendation Please? |
|
I had a flat Tyre on a very wet Saturday night just gone and my bottle jack was pretty useless as it wasn't low enough to enter the right place under the D3. It took me a long maneuvering to get it done.
Hence I need a proper low profile jack and would appreciate recommendation please.
Thanks,
Mo

Try Aldi ... they have what looks to a compact one in the "when it's gone, it's gone" section £8 IIRC ... 5000kg max load. .

All.
Saw Arcan 2750kg (3 Ton) Steel Service Jack - Model XL2750EU for £125.
and
Clarke CTJ3000G - 3 Tonne Professional Garage Jack for £120.
Which should I go for please? Would appreciate advise based on how good they are rather than difference in cost please.
Thanks,
Mo

This might help:-

You are probably going to need a jack adaptor too:-

I'm not sure who is making them now?

I'd assumed you wanted a low-profile bottle jack to carry in the car.

Clarke CTJ3000G is the one to go for [IMO]
Good, solid and with a jack adapter, will give you confidence when you lift the Disco.
Got my four wheel change down to 20 min with this set up.
edited to add: it must be the Clarke 'strongarm' not 'quicklift'. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

As above. It was the forum favourite from long ago. I've only used mine for a dozen or so wheel changes over the years, but it always feels very reassuring. Oh and yes I have the adaptor as well. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
