D3 Roof light mounting options
Hi,
I've bought some LED spot lights which I plan to mount to the room of my D3, I'm just wondering what methods people have used?, Does anyone have any creative solution that doesn't cost hundreds I have the extended roof rails that go almost to the front of the car so was thinking of getting a generic roof bar like the cheap ones you get in halfords and mounting it via the T-slots and then bolting the lamps to that.

There's quite a few ideas on here when it comes to fitting LED's if you do a search. Some have fitted into the front grille, others in the bumper slot or on the roof. If you have bought the light bar style you could do worse than start here.

Hi,
I have just bought a cheap roof rack off eBay and it didnt come with any fixings. I have bought some Unistrut channel nuts and some SS threaded bar to make my own mountings. These would work fine for a spotlight, or get some SS box section, or MS and paint it black, you can get rubber end caps for them as well. Using the box section and mounts would give a similar effect to the jeep bar you posted.
