Fuel flap bolt

Is the fuel filler cap locking bolt a separate item?
Mine appears to have snapped.

It’s part of a cable.

Like a bicycle cable or Bowden cable

The tip that protrudes to lock the flap appears to have snapped

Yep - had it on mine years back

Easy enough to fix - there's kits and plenty of videos showing how to do it on the web
 I see no ships........

I did a very cheap bodge fix on mine Laughing

I cut a bit off the outer black cable (the same length as you wish it to protrude out the lock). Don't do too much.

Then cut the stop off the plastic bolt, so it can go further than it used to.

Job sorted !

You just don't want it going in too far and getting stuck, so don't over do it.

P.S Don't be fooled with BMW or mini cables which look the same, but are a different size!
