Disco does not start after gearbox change
A local Landrover dealer changed my gearbox.
Now the car is since 3 weeks there as he is unable to find the solution for the following problem:
Try to start engine but just a loud, very short sharp lound sound. No turning of engine at all. As there is blocked something. Error F in the Display.
Readout with original ODB give no errors.
We changed also starter with another one. it works perfectly
Battery is charged fully and connections are perfect.

Sounds like the gearbox is preventing the engine turning.
Try and turn by hand.
Maybe a bolt between flywheel

thanks a lot, we will check. When we changed to the "new" gearbox the mechanic found out that the old clutch had 3 bolts and the new one has 4. Therefore he also changed the flywheel to a 4. We will open again. The mech told me its no problem to change to 4 bolts.... thanks so much for help. will keep you informed

If he has removed the flywheel has he damaged the crank sensor?

flywheel was not removed. i will ask him about sensor

Looks to me like the torque converters are a different size, are they exactly the same model of transmission ?
