| Clock while using bluetooth phone |

I know from other forum topics that the clock is not ideally placed but is there anyway to display the clock when you are using the phone via bluetooth?  During use the stereo display tells you the phone is in use but the clock is not there. not a problem during the day because as other people have said you can look at your watch! But at night?!?
Any top tips?
Uh oh, I feel a raft of "get a decent watch with glow in dark feature or back light" or "you know it must be late because its dark" 
I await with nervous anticipation

youll need to buy an illuminous watch im afraid
Or buy a newer D3  I think the 08/09 models have the clock in the instrument cluster. alternativly, i use the clock on my webasto timer day andnight cos i dont have a watch.. Duncan
