Can some please tell me if it is possible to connect additional puddle light to the same ones under the front doors.If so would it be a case of scotch connector on the same wires to the current ones.
I would like to see if I can have some lights under my wing mirrors that come on when I unlock the Disco.
Also do the puddle come on the same time as the cabin interior lights do when I unlock the car.Or do they only work when the door is opened. D3 HSE

Try Narpy as he has wired up some impressive lights in his wing mirrors (indicator's though)....
Its not a kit....
Narpy fitted them in from scratch ....
So from a very 'niave' knowledge the basics 'light' in the mirror has been done by Narpy just the type needs to be adjusted for what you wnat to do D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
B.A.S - FBHIC. Uncle Rays spare wheel protector. Beanie Silver Black badges.

Some Disco,s had puddle lights fitted as an extra.I can source these original lights but need to know if the wiring is already inside the wing mirror?D3 HSE

If you look under your wing mirror you can see the plastic cut out already there D3 HSE

There is no wiring, for lights inside the wing mirror, you have to put it there yourself buts it's really not difficult.
You have to remove the door card and run cables, all of which can be hidden nicely, up to the wing mirrors.
The details of how to do this are in the two video links.
You can buy off the shelf mirror covers with lights etc. built in, but at £100 per pair I thought they were expensive so made my own from existing covers.
There are cheap mirror covers on E-Bay and flexible LED strips that can be used.
In case anyone is interested in making their own, I used these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Amber-Soft-9s...35d6896ec7 and slotted the mirror covers. Mods:

If you go on to 'powerfuluk' website, they sell the wing mirror covers for £95 per pair.
Almost everything they sell comes with a 'how to' video -you'll find door card removal on there Original Owner.

Can confirm , after damaging the plastic mirror plate that there is no wire lurking for a wing mirror puddle light behind the glass. Wish I'd read this subject before but hey ho. Here's a photo of the heated mirror glass wires , electric mirror wires and power fold wires.
Not giving up though. Just need to find a salvage D3 with the right wires. Hmmm.
