Facelift D4 xenon beam adjustment
My passenger beam goes an additional 50 foot compared to the driver’s side beam.
Can quite clearly see a step between the two.
Having looked under the bonnet, on top of the light, there appears to be an adjuster of some sort.
Can this be used to adjust the beam a tad higher?

If it's the same as a D3 yes, use a large Philips screwdriver and be sure you are adjusting vertical not horizontal, best done in the evening facing a wall as both lights can be compared. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Along the same lines if not exact on topic...
New to D4 - it has Xenons and I can comfortably 'drive past' the dipped beam range. On unlit country roads on dipped beam I am constantly looking past the lit area
Is that usual for this vehicle? We also have a company E320cdi MB with Xenons and that's fine

Dipped beam to low can be a MOT fail It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I've got a bit of the opposite problem. On dipped beam everything is fine, no complaints there. However on high beam it throws the light too high. It doesn't do that much to the view of the road but is great for illumination the trees overhead. I could pull the lot down a bit to help seeing on full beam but that would be to the detriment of dipped beam throw.

Back in February 2013 I complained to LR about the height of main beam. Eventually both headlamps were changed but still the main beam acts as a guide for Heathrow. Many many PMs to LR have done little or nothing. I have always been told that there was no adjustment but perhaps there is. I will investigate the matter but I have learnt to live with "High Beams"

Changing the subject again, I swapped the halogens on my SE for the new xenons and had them set up at an mot station.
Great improvement but I get flashed at by other drivers an awful lot. Anyone else experience this ?Velar MY18 D180 S Narvik
