Tyre size and iid tool
Is it possible, or will it be possible to change wheel and tyre configuration to adjust MPG trip meter?

Like any CCF parameter it is possible to adjust the 'rolling circumference' with the IID, but it is a very sensitive parameter due to its interaction with the braking system and stability control. It is also a parameter that is used in the checksum of the CCFs and is broadcast on the CAN continuously.
I'm not sure what the position GAP is currently taking with this parameter as it is requested quite often but does carry some risk. I'm sure Pat can clarify next week on their intent or otherwise on releasing this function.
The parameter looks like this on my D4:

A few have tried with the Nanocom; it did not always end well.
I've not tried it with the IID other than to fix other people's bad CCF edits. There are few items on my IID wish list that I would like to see before making routine use of this function, but I am the cautious type.

Was changing the wheel circumference to do with actually changing the wheels, or you'd mentioned the trip computer, was it more to do with improving it's accuracy?Andy

I did look to alter mine as it is rather optimistic by about 15%.
I am sure I found a setting for it with the IID tool and I think it run from -8 to +8, with mine being set at +7, but then didn't know how changing it would impact the results.
I did ask the question in a post with other ramblings and didn't get an answer and since then I've not had the chance to play around again.
I shall try and take a look tomorrow.Andy

D4 is dead easy to adjust the mpg display. Changed mine from +7 to -5.5 to achieve accuracy.
