D3 reverse cam
Hi guys went to fit a second reverse camera today to my D3 so it would hopefully stop the problems with hitching up the tintent (swmbo+argument) but as it runs through the gvif i have each time i engage reverse it shows the lower camera but then goes straight to the camera i have in the rear number plate lights and i can not change the gvif to AV1 or AV 2/3 can any one give me the advise to rectify this Discovery 3 se gone

When in reverse, it will always elect the reverse camera. You could have an AV switch to switch between the caravan camera and the proper reverse camera so thy can both input to the reverse cam av input.Bodsys Brake Bible

I put a switch in the power feed from the reverse light to the gvif wire .once operated I can look at the image from the hitch cam as the reverse cam is no longer taking priority .You're not afraid of the dark are you ?

A switch in the feed sounds good as i cant seem to find a av switch thats small enough to make it easy to access but where would i mount a switch to change it over easily Discovery 3 se gone

Glad you got it all working.
I used the switch to change to the forward facing camera I used to have as that had a video output but it was rather gimmicky.
It is simple to use however and does look good. Mods:
