Have you tried the 'open' and 'lock' switch on the dash trick yet?

When mine had a dodgy moment, (the dog was in the boot) I was able to get in by getting someone to pull on the handle, whilst i sat inside with the two buttons on the dash held down (lock and unlock) after a few seconds you hear a thump and thats when you yank the tailgate. next step was the dealers who fitted a new boot handle and lock under warranty.
 Must stop buying shiny toys....
