High-ish mileage 2016 Landmark - red flags? |
|
Narrowing down my search for the perfect D4 and hoping for some advice.
I'm looking at the 2016 Landmark models as potential candidates for a couple reasons.
The Euro6 engine seems to get lots of praise on here, both for performance and for future-proofing vis-a-vis upcoming emission restrictions. Emissions and ULEZ charges are not a deal-breaker for me since I likely won't be driving into London or anywhere else with restrictions imposed on a regular basis, but I do plan to keep this vehicle as long as I can keep it on the road, so looking at what restrictions might be imposed over the next 5+ years the Euro6 seems like a good bet.
Also like the trim level, and with 3 kids ages 8 to 12 and planning multiple long-distance road trips over the next 1-2 years the rear-seat entertainment could be a lifesaver.
Sadly, I'm trying to keep to under £30K (closer to £25K if possible), and most of the 2016 Landmarks I'm seeing are above that price point (some well above).
HOWEVER, I have seen a few 1-owner examples with higher mileage (70-80K+) but strong repair records that are coming in around £25-26K or so. I tend to think the mileage may be OK, since high mileage at that age probably means lots of long motorway journeys rather than anything else, so I'm tempted.
Am I on the right track here?
Assuming the maintenance record is good and the vehicle is otherwise clean, are there other red flags I should be thinking about in considering one of those?
