Hi all have just bought the car I have always wanted 56 reg d3 auto 67000 miles full service history
One owner imaculate and I love it. Now don't get me wrong i am not looking for brill mpg but I can't
Get the beast above 17.6 round town. If this is normal then that's fine
If its not then I will get it looked at.
Posted question on here because from what I have read u all now what u are talkin about

Hi Lee, If its diesel it looks a bit low to me - are you using the cars mpg figures or have you worked them out yourself? Dash computer thingy is usually way out.
I get between 20 & 24 mpg around town. Up to 30 on longer journeys.
As said depends on how you drive and type of driving condition, the on board computer is not overly accurate so may be work doing it old school, brim the tank, doe some miles re brim and calculate your MPG
You should get high 20's to 30 on motorway a road cruising, and low 20's if this is mixed in with a lot of town driving.

To be fair I am driving like a nun. Which I am not keen on but my wife is !!
I will refill and work out properly and ignore computer.

Have you reset the trip/mpg computer, otherwise it will be a total of all journeys from the last time it was resetIf it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

I get 15 mpg round town I do drive like a nutter though...however I do a lot of short journeys and there's traffic lights every 100m.
