Hello to all in the forum. I am a member from Athens, Greece, and although I’ve been following the forum for quite some time now, this is my first posting.
I own a 2007 D3 SE, TDV6 and would like to change the base spec audio system (i.e. CD-400) with an aftermarket 2DIN multimedia unit. I’ve been reading a lot about this in the forum, but have not managed to clarify the following issues.
i. Is there any chance of such a change affecting any other original operation/system on the vehicle? I understand I need to get an adaptor loom to connect the 2DIN unit and maintain the steering wheel controls.
ii. Is there any way of maintaining, as well as being able to control, the clock display in the main dashboard?
Also, I am thinking of getting an ALPINE or KENWOOD, not decided on the model yet. Any other suggestions or alternatives?
Any suggestions from where to get a decent fascia plate in grey?
All feedback shall be greatly appreciated.
