towbar electrics help - dangling cable
I finally got around to fitting the towbar electric kit today and all was pretty straight forward ....
EXCEPT that I now have an unconnected plug in the left hand side access panel (near where the towbar fuses go). The two towbar plugs went in ok but afterwards I noticed the plug dangling there and i'm not sure if I dislodged it.
The plug in question seems to emerge from the main loom (not the towbar loom) and I can see anywhere obvious where it should go...

Any ideas where I may have screwed up? It got dark before I could work it out so had to give-up b4 visitors arrived and found my head stuck in the rear of the car.

Hi, Only guessing, sure someone in the know will be along... Do you have rear aircon fitted? If not it may well be the connector for that. On mine the fan and gubbins are in the rear locker...

No rear aircon fitted there
The plug has a 'blank' fitted so therefore is 'spare', there should be a securing tag for it on or near the loom

I need to double check but there was no "blank" cover fitted. I'll dig around the morra when the head has cleared.

Thanks 10 - now that I look at it in the light of day you are absolutlely right of course
The dangling plug does indeed have a blank and a retaining clip. This must be the aircon connection as mentioned by xtc. I have secured it in a likely looking spot and all is well in 2008.
I think I must have had my beer-goggles on slightly too early. Happy new year.
