Water leaking to battery fix?

so ive noticed while getting my d3 sorted out- that the water from the rain sits on the right hand side and the leaks behind the rubber seal that goes all the way around the engine bay, and drips in behind the battery etc. Now i know this may affect my fault, suspension lowering htc fault, ordered a new battery so took the old one out . There was a puddle in the back ( see the pics )

What is the solution to stopping it go behind the rubber seal? As when i have pushed it back on , it then pulls off the front of the engine bay, its as if the rubber has shrunk? Is it worth siliconeing the rubber so no water can drip behind it? Or new rubber etc? Here is some pics.

Thanks in advance

I would loose some of the seal at the front, and move it round (a tad) to the back to seal there.

yeah shrunk

Did you get this sorted, I think this is frying my electronics by dripping on to the wiring loom behind the fuse box! When it rains my starter won’t engage. Could you get at the cables behind the fuse box when the battery was out?
