I guess it must be quite interesting that by simply typing in your VIN that you get to see all the settings applicable to your vehicle Thumbs Up

So if I go in with sdd and pull the ccf from the car and upload it that way I should then be able to modify it and reload it to the car.

Yes Stingerrevo
You can upload either an SDD "AS-BUILT" or an SDD "session" file and edit that.

I did actually state this was the second of the 3 options on my first post in this thread Whistle

Mine worked too. I even found out that I am supposed to have a :

Diesel Particulate Filter Service Interval Announcer Enabled 2%

Havent seen that popping up yet (I'm @125k km), I wonder what the interval is and how they intend to service it ?

Cheers Guys

It can indeed be pretty amazing, enlightening, interesting and surprising to discover the massive amounts of detail about any given vehicle that can be accessed based only on it's VIN and the respective "AS-BUILT" CCF file for it.

It is pretty hard to imagine that once upon a time no one on this board had even ever heard of the term CCF.

Just tried my VIN, all works fine, although some of the options shown as 'disabled or not fitted' actual are fitted and work Rolling Eyes

Still very impressive nonetheless Bow down Bow down

I was finally able to get the correct ccf file off the sdd machine to go in and play with it. Do you know when this will be fully functional so we can use it.
Or is there another account to use that is active for downloading the ccf.
Thanks.

The CCF is not always model specific, hence their are loads of options for things that were clearly never fitted to any Land Rovers at all.

Some seem like they should be applicable but in some models the CCF setting is not applicable.

For example you may have a setting for ABS fitted or not fitted in the D3 CCF, but since all D3's have ABS fitted the other ECU's in the vehicle may be programmed for ABS regardless of there being an fitted or unfitted option in the CCF and which way it is set.

However there may be another vehicle using the same CCf where the ABS is an option, EG Defender
This is one very good reason why we have done an analysis of many thousands of AS-BUILT files to come up with the Percentages applicable to each setting option for each paramerter

This may account for what you describe disco_steve.

Alternately, if you have a vehicle with a Modified CCF already by whatever means, then of course the AS-BUILT file will be different Thumbs Up

That is quite interesting.
We had noted that some things in the CCF are plainly wrong.
For example in analyzing all Disco 3 CCF's one would expect the Model to be 100% Disco 3, However only 99.9% were Disco 3 with the remaining .1% actually set as Range Rover Sports.

We don't really know if this is just Error, mule test vehicles, on board systems testing, or even if it has any effect on the Vehicle if you change the model. For example the ABS could make different calculations based on different models having a different Center of Gravity.

Quite sensibly we have done some rounding up in these cases to eliminate this odd aspect.

Despite me having confirmed that it is also possible to upload a "session" file from the SDD in the event of an AS-BUILT file not being available you still sound surprised that this feature does indeed also work.

Well done for managing to do this unaided, we do have a step by step instructional Video that shows how to take a "session" file from an SDD system that will be linked to as part of the Genesis help system, and we are looking into the possibility of making an AS-BUILT file from a session file.

The Faultmate Genesis site is currently provided solely for the pre testing of new "over Internet" based technologies and capabilities.

Despite having absolutely massive potential, it really does have its capability to be very well tested as a first step. I cannot say how long this will take.
