Wiring help please!
Hi All
Just changing my caravan and need to swap the plugs from 12s etc to 13 pin.
Being unemployed and having to rely on the wife for my beer tokens, I'm doing it on the cheap so bought a good quality socket from the bay. All good so far, socket arrives and comes with instructions so decide to have a go. I already had the two socket set up so imagined all was good when I pulled the black socket forward to find all the cables matched the instructions. When I pulled the grey socket the cables are nothing like as described on the instruction sheet. I tried to decipher the wiring schematic in the workshop manual but my glasses are playing tricks on me and making me seem like I don't know what I'm doing (I don't).
Can someone tell me what the grey socket cables are so I can wire the 13 pin socket myself?
Just need the description to fit the instructions as below.

1 Yellow Left Indicator 1.5
2 Blue Fog Light 1.5
3 White Earth 2.5
4 Green Right Indicator 1.5
5 Brown Right tail / Side light 1.5
6 Red Brake / Stop lights 1.5

8 Pink Reversing Light 1.5
9 Orange 12v Permanent power from battery 2.5
10 Grey 12v Ignition on (battery charging or Fridge) 2.5
11 White/Black Earth for Terminal 10 2.5
12 White/Blue NOT usually used 1.5
13 White/Red Earth for Terminal 9 2.5

Probably not want you want to hear but if trying to do it as a low cost option, I'd have bought the 2x7 to 13 pin adaptor.

Socket cost a fiver, adapter costs £18.

http://www.watling-towbars.co.uk/wiring_gu...wbars.html This link shows your existing 12S connections, from that you should be able to determined which wires go to which connections on your 13 pin. Do the changeover one wire at a time if you can and make a list of which colour wires go to which pins before disconnecting any.
The Pin list you supplied, shows the wire colours from a 13 core cable, which isn't used on your Discovery.
