Just fitted 13 pin towing socket to my new disco 4. my old disco 3 had the 12s and 12n sockets.
I'm wondering what others have done with the empty hole now there is only one socket in place. Do you just leave this empty and if so doesn't this allow a lot of crap behind the towing cover?
Id like to cover this, has anyone managed to find a blanking plate to fit or adapted anything else? I've tried the search function without success.
Suggestions welcome.

Have you enabled the 13 pin electrics on the car?

Not yet, that will be a job for yourself once I've tested the socket with the caravan, probably over this weekend in the storage. It should work without enabling shouldn't it.
The socket is Al Cope's old set up. I understand you were enabling his on Monday.
I'm thinking about timed climate as well.
You may remember you upgraded my old d3 but it was years ago. I live not far from the Bulls Head near Shenstone. Just had the D4 for two weeks now - love it.
I'm not towing in the next few months so no rush. Could you Pm me with a price please.

I've used the space to fit a 12s socket that I have wired +ve & -ve to my aux battery, this gives me an external power socket for camping etc. I guess it could be used to trickle charge the aux battery from a solar panel or mains charger if needed too.
