Very neat job. Thumbs Up

Works out at A$420.

My system is adjustable from the dash. Very Happy
Loks like it will retail for about $1000.

So... Is this the solution to get around that annoying 40kmh height restrictions on the Disco 3's? If so Sign me up for some!

I think there would be a real advantage in being able to adjust on the fly and not having to run high for longer than necessary.

To clarify my last post, I posted daveyb's photos so you wouldn't have to log in.

There are four solutions so far. In order of cheapness:

1. Take LR OEM rods and shorten them yourself. You have to change them as needed by crawling under the back and reaching behind the front wheels to put them on and take them off.

2. Daveyb's adjustable rods (fully adjustable to various lengths) You still need to crawl underneath but you don't need to take them on and off. $420+

3. Remotely adjustable rod system, replaces the rods with mini actuators that shorten when button is pressed and return to standard when switched off. About $100 for the kit. More for air line Nitto fitting and line. Prototype testing ongoing. ( so far so good)

4. Metzkar system from Germany. Electrickery box gives you numerous height options from a switch on the dash. $2700 for kit.

caverD3,

I didn't realize you computed in AUD ($420). That's correct. $209 EUR, $184 GBP. Group buy possibility?? BTW - your system is also very clever! Thumbs Up

Adjustable rod replacement set

Received my set from Newark Ca. and fitted them this sfternoon.

The "metal" end of the game is not difficult to remove, but the plastic lever end takes REAL CARE !

5 to 6mm reduction in length gives about 20mm height in all modes. This is a good starting point
to judge vehicle dynamics. Each end of the rod has different direction threads,so turning the metal,
moves each end in or out equally. The slip-nut locks for finish, but is also used to measure adjustments
after fitting . Each mm gives about 4mm height change.

Front left fitted. Plenty of silicone to ease fit/removal. The "rubbers" are more substantial on David's
kit, and don't forget to measure from the middle of the holes ! Thumbs Up

Many thanks to David for commissioning these ....... you Hollister Hills Hoon Dave Laughing

Finally, adjustments can be made to the fronts in in 30 seconds a side and the backs in 1 min
from underneath , all while in extended mode.

.......And for those worried about centre of gravity, CV joints, warranty, alignment or anything else........
carry on as before. It's a reasonably free world and I'm here once .....

I'm one pleased Scouser. Very Happy

PS If you need this much lift, I can't help you
