Auto Access mode when stopping

Hello all,

Second question of the day. Is there a way to make the vehicle go into Access mode everytime you switch off? I have a access problems and it would be very useful! I am sure my old Disco used to do this but can not find it in the manual!

Thank you!

Not sure what car you have D3 or D4? Perhaps you could update your profile?

But you can't set-this up on a D3, have to manually do it every time - Why don't you just hit the switch every time you stop and it'll be there ready for you in access mode on your return Thumbs Up

If that were the case, it would dump itself down every time you came to a standstill Wink

The only option I think you have is to program the Land Rover button on your key fob to lower the suspension before getting in:

http://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/Hints_%26_Tip....27_button

I have not tried this myself so cannot vouch for it (but it's on the Wiki so must be true!).

Hi again WM,

This doesn't look like it will work for two reasons. First I do not have a LR marked button on he key fob:

The Land Rover button of Discovery 3's key fob (bottom of the 3 buttons, with the 'Land Rover' logo on it)

and second, you need the 4ways on first which means you have to have got into the car to stitch them on?

The hazard warning lights must first be turned on and all doors closed

Sorry, forgot you had D4. Embarassed

The Wiki is correct; It does indeed raise and lower the suspension on a D3 when the hazards are flashing. Don't need to get into a D3 to switch hazards on. Thumbs Up

Not sure what happens with a D4. Confused

I was just about to program my fob to lower the suspension until I read the bit about having to have the hazards lights flashing. That would get a bit monotonous having to open the doors, push the hazard switch close the doors all before pushing the landrover button on the fob Confused

D4's can lower and raise from the fob, but the hazards have to be on. Wouldn't it be good if the fob alarm button was the same as the hazards
