A bit of water fun in ludlow.
unfortunetly me and my mate were a bit bored last night in the heavy rain, so went on a drive and somehow ended up in ludlow, on the way there we found a flash flood with a poor bloke trying to help his neihborough whos house was being swallowed by the elements, i chuked the guy in the back and drove through the flood water and dropped him off at his mates, he was greatfull for the ride as was she!, after offering to fetch further persons and provisions(bread, milk ect.) i left her drive.
anyway thought id upload the videos, ive never really done water wading before so was a little frightend if im honest, still the land rover did it, water was maybe about 1.5ft at its worst, i knew the wading depth is 2.29ft slightly more with a bow wave so i tried to keep it going anyway i couldnt work out if i was going to quick or slow, contructive critisism welcome. First video is leaving her drive.

If a Ford Focus can drive it you can't really do it wrong TBH.
Generally if it's up to the grill(ish) you will get a decent bow wave, just make sure you've got it in low range and keep the revs up (last thing you want to do is stall in water!)
Try to avoid the bow wave going over the bonnet, ie slow down if this starts to happen, though in v deep water it can be unavoidable in order to keep going 'as fast a necessary' to avoid stalling etc

yeah i know about hydrolocking was fortunate enough to watch my mate do it in his skoda!
i figured he meant keep revs up of the force of water would slow you down hence stalling hey presto in the middle of flood with the door seals being tested!
