Yes you can both up and downshift from the gearstick (forward for down, and pull back for up) and it has paddles....however the paddles only work once you've selected Sport.... Which turns it into a mental machine...for essentially the same engine and box as the D4 it's amazing how much more torque they've been able to dial in!

If you've got young kids they will be carsick in the RRS!! You won't get the saddles on the backseat and forget trying to load the wheelbarrow, the yard brushes and feed bowls cos it ain't gonna happen!
I agree, going to stick with my order for a MY14 Disco loaded with every option. Being Scottish although living in Brisbane the thought of saving a stash of cash is always welcome.
Also gives me an excuse to annoy the Mrs Lowson when I order the Disco 5 in 2yrs time, because I must.

I am just biding my time for the new disco, I like the new sport, and logic would tell me to go for it if there's no sign of the new disco, but I don't know if I like to enough to sink £50k+ into one - however the disco will in all probability be gone at the end of warranty, so who knows?
Was sitting in a nice M5 yesterday. It's been in itch for a while. But itch has gone now. Sitting back in the D4 when leaving made me think. Ahhhhhhhh 2023 Ineos Grenadier 3.0 Diesel Commercial

I doubt that based on the RRS.1 launch and first year trading along with the strong residuals of FFRR's. Further, we now have a huge drain on supply from emerging markets such as China. That, coupled with the fact there is a shortage on parts such as the Pano roof, I think we will find residuals remain very strong for the first 12 months at the least.Current:
2014 RRS 3.0 HSE
Porsche 997 GT3
BMW 118d SE
Past:
D4 HSE 3.0 TDV6 Auto
D3 HSE 2.7 TDV6 Auto

On that note has anyone seen the strong residuals on the D4... Can't believe the prices some dealers are asking for used...it's been helped by the overall new car price increase but I'm well happy !!!

That S/C engine sounds fantastic - I'm assuming it's now a more economical proposition than the FFRR S/C I had so maybe worth a punt for some?
I'd be very tempted by a RRS S/C alongside the D5 8)

Both diesel RRS appear to have the same peak torque as the D4 @ 600 Nm?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
