Exhaust for V8

Hi there,

I really like my D3 V8. So mucn that I would like to hear the V8 just a little more.
Do you know any solutions (but I would not like the exhaust to be apparent) ?

Larini also has de-cat pipes for the true eco-destroyer. Not sure that Larini still manufactures for LR3s though.

I agree with you. This V8 is an amazing engine but the noise is too shy !

I havent find a solution in France or next to france so far.
I suppose i dont need to change the whole thing, but just the rear part ("silencers") to get a better noise.
What do you think? My fifth Disco ...

Here is where I stand :

- Larini France quoted me approx 1720 Euros installed
- Cargraphic quoted me 1000 Euros + VAT + Transport + installation to add
- JE Engineering don't do it
- Twisted performance don't answer
- Kahn will send me a quote including VAT and Transport, but they are 649 £ which converts to 733 Euros

So Kahn seems to be the better on price.

Any remarks/experience with quality and reputation of those manufacturers?

per the other thread, I got hold of the Director/Owner of Twisted Performance.
Yes he can do an exhaust for the petrol V8, but he's asking:
1] Do you want a system to release performance?
2] Is it just to release the V8 sound?
if no 2, he reckons you only need the system from the catalyser out to the back end.
If you can get back to me, I'll pass your request on.
In fact you're best to pm me your name & e-mail address and I can give you his personal e-mail so you can discuss direct.

Thanks a lot and sorry I did not check the other thread.
I would love more perf but it'd'mean to bypass the catalyst unit and the car wouldnt pass the french polution control (every two year !)l
So i am looking for a better noise, especially in the low speed. And still be able to be in the correct decibel range for the control.
And ... I dont need the transformation to be apparent, or it has to be very discrete. I dont really like those 4 big pipes.
