Help needed with EGR removal and blanking off

I live in Dursley, GLos and am a newby to the forum.

Was wondering if someone local could help me with the above or recommend a local garage who could
carry this work out for me. Obviously i will pay for any help which can be offered. I'm just a little unsure
about doing this work myself...

Please PM if you are interested in assisting a newby or provide details of a reasonably priced garage who can
do the work for me...

Thanks again all, over to you guys.

Hi Andy,

Why not come along to the next area meet on the 24th - it's at the Red Hart in Blaisdon, you meet PaganUK and a few others , between us I'm sure we can talk you through it Wink

Take a look at the meeting thread: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic23105.html

Several SWMBOs are attending this one, so please let me know on the BAM thread as I will probably need to book a table. Thumbs Up
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Welcome to the site Andy.

You don't say what D3 you have or why you are thinking of blanking off your EGRs. If your car is still in warranty, don't bother - get the dealer to fix any faults under warranty. If it's an 07MY or later, blanking off the EGRs will cause problems if an EGR fails.

As for doing the job, have a look at this:

It's easy enough to do though care must taken not to drop things into the engine bay
Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills Smile
