Couple of initial questions if someone could help that'll be great
1. I need a spare key, any alternative to the dealer?
2. I don't have the key for the detachable towbar
3. I'd like some sidesteps, where are we getting high quality accessories chaps (and are they easy to fix?)
4. What can I do with the built in sat nav, is there someone here who can update, and what do I get for the money?
Also, I'd be interested to know whether I got s good deal.
It has a full LR service history, last serviced at 48k Jun 2010.
Full leather
Seven seats
Sat nav
Front and rear heated seats
Privacy glass
Zenons
Detachable towbar and lots of things I won't bore you with as they're probably standard
Up at £12,995.00 but walked away at £12,500.00 incl. full valet.
Only bad points are lack of a second key and a small graze down the drivers side passenger door which I reckon £150.00 will sort.
Oh, and it has an ugly looking LR black plastic front bumper (bull bar?) that I just have to take off so guess I'll need to get the holes filled and sprayed?
Another £200.00 perhaps?
Cheers,
Will

Sounds good Will, enjoy it
Oh and that ugly plastic bumper is the A-bar I presume. If you take off your main bumper and fish out the A- bar fitting kit, then put it all up for sale on here then that would go a long way to fixing the holes and respray A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.
Congratulations, Capt Impetuous - but sounds like a deal not to pass up on.

Don't let this one run on - order one up from the dealer and then get Iain (10forcash) to code it to the car if you're getting him to give it a post-purchase inspection. Other forum sponsors can also do the key coding (Wiggs,Pete Bell).Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Farnell LR have quoted £168.00 for the key and coding or £113.00 for the key only.
Sound about right?
Does anyone have a site link to reliable, good quality accessories?
Side steps are a priority and I'd quite like a reversing camera supplied and fitted

Site Sponser is Yeovil Landrover
The man there you need is "The Large One" aka Nick

The key price sounds about right; you can check a price with Nick - the Large One.
I'd also ask him for a price on side steps - the LR ones are good (other than some people have lost the silver edge trim).
You might find a forum member who wants to get rid of his/her steps and come to an arrangement. Since fitting involves cutting holes in cill trim, an exchange will save the former steps owner having to buy replacements.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
Its a colour transferred from the LR Caribean dealerships, made from recycled oil drums!!! Run silent, run deep!! HM Submarines Conqueror, Churchill, Renown, Ocelot, Porpoise, Onslaught.
