Parts required for FBH timer/remote mod

Anyone know a good place to buy the correct parts for the mod please (aside from Maplin etc for the standard parts).

After the timer and the plug please?

Thanks,

John

If not anywhere nearer, have a look at the German eBay. There seems to be a contant rich supply of new 1533 timers. If not finding the plug somewhere easily, you could also buy timer with the cable (like the branching Y cable) -- then you get the plug and some extra stuff which you don't necessarily need.

Hi John,

ebay seller "sarkblue" seems to have a constant supply of 1533 timers for £60 or so and the four-way pin plug (though at an additional fiver Shocked ). If you have an old motherboard somewhere you can use the power (two way) pin plug and for example the HDD (two way) pin plug instead. I have recently found they are considerably sturdier than the Webasto plug.

Then it's a matter of choice whether you go RF or GSM for the remote; the RF Maplins does is very good quality (made by Velleman) for abour £35; Quantek seems to be the popular choice for the GSM remotes, I've gone for the Telcon 500 option at £100 all in.

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

Awesome - thanks!

Don't think I'll go GSM as we don't have any phone signal where we live.
