powerfold mirror retro fit?
Hi, new to this forum and have searched but with no luck so forgive me if i am asking a previously answered question!!
I have a 06 HSE which i thought had powerfold mirrors as the swith showed it.....when they wouldnt fold i asked my local (spanish!!) dealer to fix it....they did but asked if i had removed the relay.....what relay i asked?....in the confusion i think they had replaced a relay that had never actually been there and that in fact all disco 3s comewith the powerfold mirrors and switch but the relay is not fitted unless you pay for the option!!
Anybody else come across this and if so any idea where the relay plugs in??...as i have a friend with a S version which again has the switch on the mirrors showingpowerfold but they dont!! He has already bought the relay...about 23 quid...but the local dealers are not being helpful!!

the relay is located next to the CJB which is behind the lower glove box, it is brown and sits next to a green connector. it will probably be sitting behind the loom and welcome aboard
didn't type fast enough

Is this correct that all you need to do to have powerfold mirrors is add the relay? If so does anyone have the part number for the relay?

best to check that you have the motors in the wing mirrors first before you lay down some cash and the switch has the function for operating the powerfold.

according to the cct diags, there is a foldback module (assuming that is the relay here) two motors, the switch and associated wiring which could be done yourself. so depending on cost of motors (assuming they aren't fitted and that's all that would be needed) switch and relay, its sounds like it can.

I have spoken to my friend and he has plugged the relay in but nothing happens with the mirrors!! Maybe its back to the drawing board....unless anybody knows any different??...both the cars are lhd so maybe that makes a difference...although on my HSE they do now fold...and they didnt before....in fact the dealer told me when i bought it that it did not have powerfold!!
He is going to check today if there are any motors in the mirrors and let me know!!
