I have identified one of my outer rear sensors as faulty, but I can't work out where the clips are which hold it in place.
It was raining when I had a look, so didn't spend too much time out there.
I did take a (poor) photo with my phone though, but still can't see anything.
Anyway, here is the photo.... can anyone see the clips from this?

Interestingly, my Rear parking sensors worked this morning, I wonder if the fact that it was a crisp -2 had anything to do with it?regards

The two clips are at the 1 and 5 o clock positions in your pic, they can be worked out a bit, need to be able to push the sensor as well to get it all moving.

Right gotcha!
I've ordered a new sensor anyway, so I'll see how it goes!
Thanks.

Minor thread bump.
My rear sensors are going through times of working, to making a continuous beeping noise.
They have only done it since i went off roading last month, i've tried a swift thump to them, which made some mud etc fall out, so wondering if they have some dirt in the connectors, plus i also have a minor scratch on the face of one, like a mark made by someone else bumping the car with theirs..
Can you remove the bumper without removing the mud flaps, if not. What penetrating fluids are you using as i take it WD40 won't cut it..

Wd40 worked well for me, but kept applying it everyday for a few days and as per my orig write up a well fitting screwdriver and constant pressure is needed to crack the screws off, once they turn, then you are ok.

I'll go buy some more cans then, If the state of the screws mean anything, i'll need 12 large cans just to be safe.
I'll drown them in the fluid for a week or so and do the front's at the same time so i can clean all sensor's, and stick sealant in the connections to stop water ingress for happening again.
Otherwise, a very good write up.

I just changed the wiring loom and four sensors in the rear bumper. Biggest problem was seized mudflap screws. Found out how lazy the dealer had been last time this job was done a few years ago. They hadn't bothered to replace some of the screws and clips.
My tip is to order up some replacement screws, 4 plastic expanding screws only visible with the tailgate tilted, plastic wheel arch clips plus some of those where the centre pulls out for underneath the wheel arch.
I used the OEM wiring loom not LR branded, was exactly the same as the one that came off, plus the cheap £ 14 reversing sensors from Amazon. Gave everything a good clean and a spray with CF50 Now working great.
Be careful when refitting as I managed to damage one of the outer sensors on the chassis and had to replace it.joakes
