Re the FCR
hell no, you certainly don't need to buy a new FCR. It is as as cheap as chips to re license this from your D3 to a D4

The FCR does work on all 2012 D4 ECU's except for the Infotainment stuff, which as everyone knows is now different.
When we get to develop this on the MSV-2, we should hopefully then be able to add this to the FCR too.
Under the circumstances DD, The very least i can do is waive the transfer fee for you as a little good will gesture.
I don't need the VIN, but could you e-mail in the FCR's serial number to BBS so my guys can sort you out and help you to do this on your FCR.

Actually some uneducated people have insinuated this in the past, but it's almost always a competitor or someone who has some alternate reason for not liking me supplying the capability and equipment i have to the community
Of course i have wages and bills to pay, and a living to make, but it will be a really sad day when i cannot find it in my heart to donate something for raffling off in support of a good cause or help someone out who really needs it.
The FCR is set up to accept only a given vehicle model, and will lock to the first VIN it sees of that model.
So from what you describe, you should have no problems Russell

I will happily buy beers for you all day long, as long as you still think you can keep up with me and Wiggs getting through quite a few bottles of very good Vodka.
Those that were there will know i ain't no lightweight and can certainly hold my own. And i will always remember what a absolutely great time i once shared with them and would love to repeat.
