Sale price check - D3, MY 2008 HSE, 35k

Posting here as not (yet) for sale, just want your views on price as I've been toying with the idea for a while... The car is a MY 2008 (1st reg Sep 2007, on a 57 plate) HSE, I am technically the second owner (the car was a loaner to the Royal Family from LR for the first 2400miles of its life - is that value adding???) and currently has 34000miles on the clock. It's overall a Tonga Green animal in mint condition, meticulously maintained (OCD even Laughing ) with a full LR service history and all relevant recalls done Thumbs Up All electronic options are available (satnav on the go, 4x4 info, off-road Nav, three flash indicator etc)

Parts changed to date:
    - Suspension compressor (Jan 12)
    - Pads all around (last: Dec 11)
    - Front ARB bushings (Apr 10)
    - Front lower arm bushings (Apr 10)

Additional LR OEM accessories/options (part nos available):
    - Rear locking diff
    - Centre console cooler box (not sure if this was standard?)
    - Tow bar & twin electrics
    - Full set of rubber mats (all three rows and boot)
    - Full set of premium carpet mats (front and middle rows)
    - Lockable cross bars
    - Lockable ski carrier
    - Sill tread plates
    - Waterproof seat covers (sand colour, front and middle rows)
    - Front and rear lamp guards
    - Front and rear mudflaps
    - Driving lights (including mounting kit and wiring)
    - 450lt roof box
    - Second set of 5 10-spoke 18" rims, "style 2" with AT2s with plenty of tread (original wheels are 19" with Scorpions, again, plenty of tread)
    - Door rubbing mouldings
    - Body coloured door handles and tailgate handle (old ones available, two have broken pins from removal)
    - Body coloured wheel arches (old black ones to go as well, one has severe scratching)
    - Body coloured front bumper and headlight washer jet covers (this is not yet fitted, but will go one way or another)
    - 2009 Pan-European navigation disks (I have two sets: one standard single DVD with western Europe which came in the car and another double DVD set I bought additionally with Western and Eastern Europe)

Non-LR accessories and mods
    - RLD sumpguard
    - Waterproof spare wheel cover (full size, fits either of the full size spares)
    - Optima yellow top second battery
    - Traxide split charger with rear power kit fitted
    - Custom electrical junction boxes and panel in boot including:
-----FBH timer with RF and GSM remotes
    -----Four additional power sockets
-----300W 220V inverter (mains plug on panel)
    -----second battery voltage monitor
    - 2x lightwave light bars in boot
    - GVIF interface
    - reversing and front facing camera system (reversing is auto with gear selection and both also feed a CCTV multiplexer fitted in the car on the GVIF's AV3)
    - Freelander 2 headrest screens and VEBA DVD in glovebox
    - Bluetooth A2DP music receiver on a manual switch between it and the GVIF to the AUX input of the IHU (allows to stream music to the car via Bluetooth)
    - Palm automotive custom sunscreens for rows 2 and 3 and tailgate
    - Uprated LED bulbs in rear brake lights, front sidelights and uprated front cornering bulbs
    - 1x pair of snow chains fitting both sets of tires - never used to date!

Warranty Direct Luxury Care transferable warranty to June 2012.

Don't even want to add up what all this has actually cost me Big Cry Rolling Eyes

Thinking that "as is" (most likely to go to an enthusiast or someone in the know) it could probably fetch me in the region of GBP 26k private sale (don't really fancy the idea of stripping off all the extras!!), but would of course consider selling without the bits (say stock HSE spec) at a lower price...

Am I off the mark do you think?

Cheers Thumbs Up

which currency....? For £ probably high, for € probably there or there abouts. TBH the extras don't really add much value, but do make it more saleable to the right person Thumbs Up

Thanks Ian, was referring to GBP (original post edited) as it's a UK car... Wink

Forgot to say it also has WD Luxury Care (inc wear and tear) to June! (added to original)

Hmmm, may be that I have to strip things off then and sell individually to get close to that?

Wonder if yours was built along with mine. Tonga green, similar spec, owned by Land Rover before I bought it and was on their "VIP Fleet". Who did you talk to who told you it was one loaned to the Royals?

Pobably NONE ! More than likely its been thraped by the CP teams like most of the other cars that get loaned to the Family,

If its the one I,m thinking of it might be the one that used to tow the fuel bowser round that followed the Royal Flight ?

I think it got replaced by a D4 in either the 3rd or maybe the Final qtr 2010 ?

How long have u had it and are there any screw marks under the lips of the front grille vanes and on the back of the middle 2nd row seat ?

Bought the car in October 2008 with 2403 miles on it and no, it has no marks of any sort anywhere nor was the towbar ever used (still has the grease on under the protective cap and the ball has no marks at all) - same for the receiving end of the towbar on the car Thumbs Up The whole vehicle was checked thoroughly by two pairs of eyes in the know while at the forecourt and during the test drive Wink

I dug out the correspondence with LR (Beadles sold it to me, but they had to go back to HQ to get further details), here's what they said about it:

Quote:
The car was part of the “Royal Fleet”. In essence Land Rover loan cars to members of Royal Family and their entourage, it obviously helps with our public profile if they are seen to be driving our cars.
and later when I asked for more details
Quote:
I've looked into it and yes it was on the Royal Household fleet but was just used as a castle run around vehicle, no off roading and has had no work done on it.

So, who knows what "castle run around" would mean??? (I am guessing from stables to main buidling and back, with the occasional trip to the off-licence Wink )
