Hey Tawnyowl-how do those plastic clips (that hold the lower cover) come off? Do you pull the centre and then they pop out?

I'd prefer not to stuff any clips up when doing this job! Whistle

I have the dreaded oil patch on the hose - near where it attaches to the intercooler. I've been getting a bit more smoke than usual - so it may be split. Looks like I have a job for the weekend!

Edit: This afternoon, I took hose off, cleaned it up and inspected - no cracks. Cleaned up intercooler outlet and intake inlet. Put it back together and runs ok. Bottom clamp may have been a little loose. Time will tell - but there does appear to be less smoke after the short test run.

Two slightly OTT questions:

1. Is this hose compatible with the 3.0 TDi Discovery 4?
2. Has anyone heard of similar problems with the D4 yet?

If both answer "yes" then some of us with (or about to be with Mr. Green ) D4's may be interested to get the hose on a preventative basis. Jim Dowell - D4 HSE TDi, 12,000 hydraulic winch & hidden winch mount, MTRs, TyreDog, Traxide 2 x aux battery system, fixed air compressor, Dolium roof rack, MitchHitch.
