"Something" buzzing while driving

When my LR3 gets up to around 60mph, I can hear a humming or buzzing that sounds like it may the side windshield trim. Any easy way to rectify the problem short of some sort of adhesive?

Have you had your windscreen replaced? Common problem is screen fitters don't use new trim clips for the pieces on either side of the screen. The piece can vibrate or fly off.

Our information stalk buzzes at highway speeds. Any possibility your buzz is in the same area?

The end button vibrates - a wee bit of cardboard or electrical tape jammed between the button and the stalk housing takes care of it.

Windscreen was never replaced, but there seems to be alot of play with the a-pillar trim pieces. Even through the rubber seal is underneath, it seems to be loose to me. How difficult is removal and inspection (without breaking the tabs)?

Just pull it off from the top, but get new fasteners first. Why not put some tape along the edge of the trim, to see if it stops the noise, if it does then you know the problem.

External A Pillar trim almost certainily. Just replaced mine as one of the clips was broken at the bottom. Completely slient until 65MPH then Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

About £27 should solve the problem, Part Number - DCB000156PNP (passenger side)

Nick (The Large One) quoted me £22.31 but postage on top made it cheaper for me to just pop to my local dealers.

Takes seconds to change

just another option as your symtoms sound very familiar, you mentioned the noise at around 60mph, as much as this might sound off the wall to some on here, just had my o/s top turbo hose replaced today having developed a gradual split over the past three days, by product of this split was a buzzing noise at 60mph when yer put your foot down a bit (not when coasting) with the windows closed on the motorway.

the noise only developed on day three, then off course when you wind the window down then its easy to identify the whistling noise coming from the engine bay.

If you lift the bonnet, have a look at the main engine cover, if it's darker due to residue, then that's the tell tale sign along with a little less power on take up oh yea yer fuel consumption drops a few mpg Thumbs Up
