Thin Paint

Have just hand washed the car and have noticed by the pillar (C) just after the rear pass door that the paint seems really thin as you can make out a white undercoat. It looks as if there is not enough layers on it. Will try to get a pic of this to explain a bit easier what i am on about. Does anyone know if this is a known problem as i have not read anything about it Question

The car is only coming up for 12 months old, would this be a warranty job or have i lucked out. I have owned the car since new and have never noticed it before, mind never really washed it by hand much before as i was until recently living in Germany and it is not allowed to wash the car outside your house on the street. All info and advice will be greatly appreciated so hopefully i can try and find the local stealer here and get them to sort it.

Thanks for that Slimer. Thumbs Up By the look of things its not acceptable in the zone where it is on my car. But will need to see if they will accept a warranty claim on this 12 months down the line. It is now annoying me now that i have noticed it properly.

Thanks guys for the help on this so far. Thumbs Up Now to find my local Stealer anybody know a good one near where i am.

paint finish on mine is poor around the rear door apertures, not thin in my case but more like solvent boil. (small top less bubbles) they also seem to have resprayed the door card on one rear door as there is over spray on the body colour paint.

Bits of mine that looked ok were really rough to the touch. All sorted with a week in a FFRR and a can of paint at the dealers Thumbs Up
