AFAIK, the VAG group (VW, Audi, Skoda, SEAT) Webasto units speak a different dialect of WBUS commands and so can't be used with non-VAG FBHs 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

You could make yourself a remote system utilising a 1533 timer for less than that.
I made my own using the instructions here on the forum and it's been extremely reliable.
Total cost inclu timer was about £100. There's only 3 wires to connect, pos, neg and a FBH wire.
I'll see if I can find a link to it.
Here you go: Phone mod thread: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic16361.html
All wiring details are here: Remote mod How-To: http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...20v1-1.pdf Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails
Make your own Narpy grill thread
I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

I've read these, and that was my plan - I just came across this whilst surfing the bay and thought it looked neat and tidy.
I'm back on to plan A now - just researching GSM devices now. The 1533 timers are a bit hard to come by now for the look of it, but there seems to be a couple available from Germany.
