If you are really in charge, sort out the site performance. It is about the same this evening as the content of Hazle's bag.....
Getting back on subject (Simon, glad you got your part no. at last), the site has been on the occasional go slow tonight but unfortunately I don't have that sort of access to the server so I can't really do anything, not sure if Martin does either, but he does have the authority to raise the issue with the hosting company. Their status page says the server is okay but it does not give the sort of stats I would like to see to diagnose an issue (which is part of my day job so hopefully I know what to look for ).
I was talking to Martin at the weekend about getting a better host with a dedicated server (or 2 maybe) for his sites, hopefully I'll be able to sort something out soon and give DISCO3 a performance boost . I have a few sites of my own planned so I'll talk to Martin about a possible shared server when he gets back

As no doubt most of you have noticed the site has been up and down like an up and down thing today! The host is showing issues with the server so please don't shout at me it's not my fault
I'm off down the pub tonight, so I suggest you all do the same and we'll reconvene on here later

Maybe it needs more batteries ?
Surely the site is not that high bandwidth that a pretty basic server cannot cope ?
