Open the Glove Box
Put it into service mode by pressing the retainers so it can be dropped down further.

You will then see that behind it there is a panel / box with lots of fuses on.

This is also the Central Junction box (CJB) or body control module as you prefer to call it.

The BCU is not a common failure item AFAIK although no ECU likes water and if you have a leak from your sunroof this might be affected.

re CAN BUS faults.
Never heard of this, What's a CAN BUS

Only joking megatron AKA NB1

Not sure what you are using to read fault codes but Can Bus messaging missing problems are very common and can largely be ignored

You would need almost every single ECU, and a key from the donor car

For Discovery 3's BCU's or CJB's as you prefer are supplied as replacements by VIN and come pre programmed with the VIN in them which cannot be changed.

You can learn existing key fobs to these and the Engine Management ECU's will also sync to these.

There will also be no problem with your existing instrument pack.

Replacing the BCU/CJB along with the Key, locks, Engine management and instrument pack as a set should work, but you would also effectively be changing the vehicles entire electronic identity and may also need to modify the CCF in the instrument pack to correctly suit your vehicle and it's equipment.

I hope this helps
