Passenger Footwell Leak Repair - Big hands

Hi there, need help as I have the dreaded leak in the footwell and reading the post to fix the problem have taken wing off where I can see the pipe inside which is dripping but cannot pull it through the hole so it can exit the vehicle. I have dropped the glove box and loosened off the two nuts securing the main fuse box but cannot get my hand in behind it to push the hose and grommet back through the hole. What do I do?
Thanks in advance and for the posts on rectifying the issue.

You will never get in to push the hose back in even with small hands, the fuse box (CJB) needs to be removed. It's a bloody fiddly job even with small hands to get the slips out securing the wires, getting them back in is even worse! If your hands are that big I would get someone else to attempt this for you. The last couple I have had the water leak issue with have turned out to be the elbow that goes through the wing has kinked and stopped the water flow. I tend to remove them, insert a piece of plastic/rubber hose inside to keeps its shape and then refit it.
Good luck Thumbs Up

Thanks for that. So if I cut the existing pipe at the A pillar and connect some more hose then try to pull it down and out of the exit behind fuse box ( pulling it from the outside ) will that do it? What size pipe should I get to join the pipe at the pillar?
I can then silicone the exit area and that should be okay hopefully.
Thanks for the help.

Without taking the wing off you'll struggle to pull it out of the exit properly or get in there to silicone it. Best bet is to get the cjb out the way so you can see what's going on Smile pipe is about 8-10mm o/d I think, never measured it!

Maybe not applicable in this case but before you start ripping things apart pull out the pollen filter and check it. My leak was because the rain had found a way through the seal at the bottom of the windscreen and the plastic panel which runs along the bottom if the windscreen. The way the cabin ventilation inlet is configured creates a perfect water catcher that then runs into the pollen filter housing and then onto the floor.

Thanks guys, new pipe installed, sealed and car back together. I used those thin guide cables which I fed into the replacement pipe and then fed it down the A pillar until I could see it through the small grommet hole where the original pipe came out. That meant no need to go in behind the main fuse box. The join is as per the image posted above so if it blocks I just slide out the pipe joined at the A pillar and blow it out.
I did find the original perished elbow in the cavity the pipe sticks out so that must have been the cause of the wet footwell.
Thanks again for assistance.
