Weird Sloshing Sound SOLVED
Got a real odd problem going on and despite a search of the boot area I have failed to find what's causing it.
There's this strange sloshing sound coming from the boot area when I go round corners. I can't decide what it is but it seems to slosh on left and right corners rather than going over speed bumps.
Rear seat passengers tell me it sounds low down. I've vigorously operated all the doors and found nothing, tailgate upper and lower the same. I thought it was the rear spoiler as that would hold water but nope. I've had all the seats up and there's nothing there. It can't be the fuel tank as it's only just started to happen and I'd have noticed that before, I don't have sunroofs but there's at least a pint of water in a pocket or cavity in there somewhere.
Anybody any ideas as I'm totally baffled. Mods:

Anything in those side pockets where the jack is kept (and opposite)? Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

lift up the plastic trim just inside the doors, on the floor.
underneath there is a trough about 2cm deep where the wiring looms goes, try looking in there.
i'll try and find a photoDuncan

Discodunc, I'm not convinced.
That would not cause a sound like a litre of water in a 3 litre bottle though..........................would it????

the trim next to the yellow cleaning wipes.
it sjouldnt slosh around though, so I now thinking its probably something else. there is nothing underneath the collect liquid, other than the fuel tank

Yeah, I know the area you mean.
My sound is definitely from the rear. Left to right causes the slosh rather than front to back.
It's definitely liquid sloshing, not something solid.Mods:

That was one of my thoughts regarding the doors but swinging each of the doors doesn't cause any sloshing sounds.

It's none of the doors or tailgate.
I'll check the spare wheel tomorrow but the sound is inside the car.
One of my passengers today asked if I had a fuel can in the boot ( I haven't ) as he could hear sloshing.Mods:
