Nice watches but always been an Omega man.... I have a couple of Seamasters and a very early breiling colt.

When I got engaged a few years ago, I decided why should I miss out on something shiny, so my now wife got a diamond and I thought I would treat myself to a nice watch.

I didn't have any plans to buy a Rolex as I fancied an IWC one, but somehow ended up with a Submariner. I do like it but in certain company it does make me feel a little uncomfortable and I find myself making sure it is hidden by a sleeve.

Lance Armstrong wears a Pepsi, not sure that's a very good brand endorsement.

I have some of my watches serviced by Indy specialists, some by manufacturer. All depends on age/history. Just like finding a mechanic you trust to do your car (and as expensive).

Think I know pretty much every Pepsi dial GMT for sale on the web at the moment (and some are overpriced tat TBH Rolling Eyes ) but have located two private sale and one Indy I'll be following up this week Thumbs Up

I have a few nice watches but this Pepsi dial GMT really does it for me Laughing

Of all my watches it's my current GMT that gets most comments about it being 'fake' or "my mate bought one of them for ten pounds" despite it being fairly discrete and not the most expensive. As someone else said you know and those that know watches know so you just smile and let them ramble.

Will keep searching and maybe one day I'll pick up the 2014 white gold one cheaply somewhere Rolling Eyes

I assume you have seen this one,
http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/more_2.htm
I have had a few watches from them, great to deal with, and always some movement on price, this one looks v tidy , bar some slight marks on the serrated outer ring at the top, in the first picture, nothing that can't be sorted were it required.
Though some prefer a used watch to look used, or have a patina of sorts, wouldn't do for me and my OCD , but each to their own.
The reality of it is, if there are some marks on already, you would probably covert it less and wear it more, than if it were perfect and unmarked.

I love watch threads. Keep them coming Thumbs Up

Would like an Omega but SWMBO says I don't need one Big Cry

As for work my well used Sunnto has just taken the knock so now got a Casio.

Cheers

If you don't want to do without your watch for weeks, Duncan at Genesis watchmaking operates a booking system whereby you book it in and he contacts you when he is able to service it. It's away for a couple of weeks, not 7-8. He has access to Rolex genuine parts, and although I haven't used him myself, I understand he is highly regarded.
You can get a genuine Pepsi bezel insert (not for the ceramic's) and quite easily swap them over for a black, or Coke insert without specialist tools.

I have just bought one of the new Omeaga Seamasters, ceramic bezel but the face has changed from the blue with waivey lines to plain blue, and the date has also changed to silver on blue.

On reflection i think I prefer the old model Big Cry so end up wearing my old Oris big crown most days (Oris are great watches IMHO).
