[Wanted] NS D3 headlamp unit after massive detango cockup

Just had a bloody nightmare - detango'd one of my headlights yesterday - it looked great, but I wasn't too happy with the reseal.
Leave until the morning I thought - it's too late ,don't want to ruin it.
Today, tried the oven method -someone came to the door - I go back to oven as quick as I can to find my headlamp dripping black plastic - F---------------k !! Big Cry

How it looked last night !!

How it looks this Censored morning

You'll be ok jumpinjack.
It was purely my cockup. If I'd just left well alone this morning all would have been well.
Looking back, a bead of sealant would have solved it (if there was a problem in the first place !!!)

I'll calm down and go again -but not today -too furious with myself - good job my Mrs has gone to Newcastle for a couple of days -it's guaranteed I would have started an argument - and I would have lost that one as well Rolling with laughter

wow Shocked That's not much of a margin for error

I hope you get a replacement sorted without too much money having to change hands. Thumbs Up

^^^^ Thumbs Up

Adding xenons to my 2006 S was the single best mod I've done on mine. 8)

The difference between halogens and xenons is like night and day! Laughing

Shocked just six minutes to do that, how hot was the oven?

Thought I'd read somewhere here that it took about 15minutes at 100 C to just to soften the seal?
